The Animation and Digital Gaming course is using the Scratch block-based programming platform designed by MIT.
Description:
The Animation and Digital Gaming courses are offered to students in the 8-9 years age group. Using the Scratch block-based programming platform designed by MIT, students will learn how to write instructions so that a computer will understand them and learn important coding concepts. Using these skills, they will create animated stories and digital games.
For the more capable or older students, advanced concepts can be implemented through the combination between coding and robotics where students can design and code games that can interact with people physically. Throughout the courses, the students will develop their creative, critical, analytical, and algorithmic thinking skills.
Three levels of Animation and Digital Gaming are offered.
